R&B Singer Celeste Arrazolo Talks New “Luvr Grl” EP Release

Houston, Texas artist Celeste Arrazolo is on top of her game musically. With a hot new EP titled Luvr Grl and an original sound, she is ready join the big leagues like fellow Houston stars Megan Thee Stallion and Travis Scott. I had the pleasure of catching up with Celeste for candid conversation below. Check it out.

Who is Celeste Arrazolo?
I’m a girl from Houston, Texas. I was raised by a big Mexican family that didn’t miss one opportunity to gather when we were growing up. My life has been family, arts, partying and chasing the dream (and a lot of getting my heart broken). I’m someone who feels everything constantly it’s my greatest strength and weakness. I’m an artist, storyteller. Life translator, if you will lol I’m some cliche of a girl who has never been anywhere that ran off to LA after high school to be a big star and refuses to give up.
Growing up what are some artists you looked up to musically?
Bob Marley, Amy Winehouse, Selena, Gnarls Barkley, Beyoncé, Rihanna just to name a few.
How would you best describe your original sound on your new Luvr Grl EP?
I would say it’s Emo- R&B because  it is soft, vulnerable, and maybe a little dramatic haha.
As this project is very R&B and heartfelt would you say it is a direct reflection of what is going on in your current life?

Definitely being in quarantine made me think about what’s important in life and during that time I did fall in love and man.. I fell so hard. It was the first time I ever saw a real future with someone and it didn’t work out. That experience definitely shaped this project along with the heartbreaks.

Why do you find music to be healing?
It has the ability to take you out of the moment and into a new one. Many times music got me through the day. It’s such a beautiful exchange to have someone perfectly word something in a song and help you articulate a feeling you couldn’t quite describe. Music is being seen, it’s being heard, it’s finding others like you, it’s full of love and magic. Forget what we look like, what humans sound like is the closest thing to heaven on earth.
Where do you draw inspiration from when creating?
From the truth. I try to remind myself that the truth wins. If I keep using my own experiences and if I offer my own heart up for breaking and for healing and for sharing that process..I think that’s how I keep my intentions pure. I’ve always wanted to be felt.
When can we expect From you as a follow up this release?
Hmm.. I don’t want to put myself in a box. I write music that sounds so different day to day but what I do know is that I want to  incorporate a cross over that honors my heritage. I love who I am and I would love my next project to reflect that with the sounds we choose.
What is one thing most of the world does not know about you?
I often daydream about escaping to my grandmas ranch in Mexico, to eat fruit and swim in the river for the rest of my days. So if I ever go missing that might be the first place to look.
